A Brief Biography of Ulysses S. Grant.
Born on April 27, 1822, in the humble village of Point Pleasant, Ohio, was a child destined to be the president of the United States; the little son of Jesse and Hannah Simpson Grant would change history forever. Christened Hiram Ulysses Grant, the infant soon grew to be a youngster who embraced his bucolic lifestyle. The young boy enjoyed doing farm work, especially taking care of horses on the Georgetown family farm. This eventually evolved into a
City. He invested his life savings in a bank there, but he eventually lost almost all of it. Grant, not discouraged by this immense loss, set out and wrote a set of his memoirs. These became published and earned the Grant family more that half a million dollars. Soon after finishing the memoirs, Grant passed away. At the age of 65, this great hero left the world, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
