He was a complex man, handsome, charming, and able to hold the love of others; while, at the same time, he was ruthless, greedy, and able to use people to his advantage. David never lost his consciousness of humanity, but, at the same time, he was larger than life. Yes, David did sin, but, in the end, he was indeed, a man after God's own heart.
