Power is defined as the possibility of imposing one's will upon the behavior of another. In an age where countries and militant groups wage war on each other, the citizens beneath their respective leaders look to them for guidance and morals. These leaders are in a very influential position and they should be trusted to make wise decisions. It is rare to find a viewpoint that sits on either end of the spectrum that will efficiently work for any crisis situation. Both the passive and the offensive proposals have their positives and negatives, however, the Catholic Church, and its use of conditioned power, seems to be the most logical and will probably advance the cause of peace the quickest.
