An analysis of the book Frida Kahlo: A Biography.

Frida, a biography of a Mexican painter, was the work of author Hayden Herrera. First printed in 1983 by Harper Collins, this book was reprinted in 2002. Herrera received help from the Graduate School of the City University of New York, as well as a grant from the Art History Program Dissertation Fund. …injuries were catching up to her. Her health was so bad doctors advised her not to attend, but Frida would not miss it. Minutes after the exhibition started, a wail of sirens filled the air and an ambulance arrived. They wheeled Frida in on a stretcher and placed her in the center of the gallery on a bed where she sat all evening. A year later, on July 13, 1954, at the age of 47, Frida Kahlo died.
