…Goods Administration is reviewing the use of certain anti-depressants among children amid growing international concern that they may increase risk of suicide. While there is no concrete knowledge on the long-term effects of SSRI and SNRI anti-depressants, anecdotal reports have suggested that the long-term use of SSRIs may be associated with significant weight gain, sexual dysfunction and further abnormal drug interactions. Are these effects inevitable or can they be managed effectively with the appropriate interventions?
