Biography of Edger Alan Poe.

Edgar Allan Poe was born in Boston on January 19, 1809. His father, David Poe, was from Baltimore. He was an actor and a heavy drinker. Soon after Edgar Allan Poe was born, he left his family. …the summer of 1838, he moved to Philadelphia. He changed occupation many times mostly working for newspapers. He wrote many poems and short stories during this time, but Poe never received much money from his works. Poe broke down when his wife, Virginia, died in January of 1848. In 1849 after a year of heavy drinking and drug use Poe too died. Many of Poe's works are well know now, but they weren't until years after his death.
