Bipolar disorder

For centuries, bipolar disorder has been a common yet mysterious illness. This disease, also called "manic-depressive illness, it is one of the oldest diseases known to man. Over 1% of the population in the United States suffers from this disorder, yet the cause and the cure is unknown (Spearing). Many fail to realize how serious and how brutal this disease is. …death. It is unfortunate that a cure for this disease has not been found. Many suffer with this disease and cannot live normal lives. This disorder has prevented many from pursuing their professional aspirations and has "locked" them out of their social environments. Whether biological or social, the cause of this disorder does not exclude anyone. Bipolar disorder is a vicious infirmity that is a slow death mentally which forces one physically to their demise.
