…settlers wanted to happen. The children would start to forget their heritage and adapt to the European way of living, and forget about being homesick and missing their parents and relatives. Gradually, all half-caste children would forget their aboriginal heritage, so when they started families they wouldn't be able to pass down the culture to the next generation. Slowly the aboriginal way of life would start to fade away leaving nothing but a forgotten tradition.
