Can a person know something they cannot prove?

Can a person know something they can't prove? I believe that a person can know some things without proving them while others need to be proved. It is a matter of what they claim to know and the perspective you take in analysing their proposition. (Columbia Tristar Home Video, Men in Black) Even though this quotation is from a fictional movie based on aliens and a secret organization called the Men in Black who protect the planet from them, I still feel it is quite applicable. This shows how perspective has affected knowledge since the begining of time. Things can be known without being proven thanks to perspective.
