Cooking during the two world wars

In Australia, government policy during the war times were concerned with supplying food to the fighting forces as well as keeping up the supply for the general population. Due to large numbers of men involvement in the Wars, Australia's government created a special department to deal with these food problems. So both the World Wars affected Australia's food choices, culture and habits through the advancement of food manufacturing, technological development and the arrival of other countries to Australia allowing Australia to try foods from different origins. All three of these big factors have influenced Australia's food habits and culture and have shaped Australia's food culture today and it's all due or influenced by the Two World Wars.
