Although Fayol's functions has been criticized by Mintzberg's theories as an inappropriate compare to the actual activities of the managers in reality, Fayol's management functions still has contributed a lot in analyzing Sam's morning and her job. Hence, to describe Sam's morning and the job, it is necessary to evaluate and use both the theories where it is relevant to her job.
