…the council need to be involved in the same capacity as each other, with the same level of commitment. The Secretary-General needs to be able to make more proposals, but also be more answerable. Non-governmental organisations need more involvement, and trans-national corporations have to be more accountable for the UN to work as it should, offering protection and aid to those who need it and bringing to justice those who are oppressing or exploiting others.
