…then "scan" the beam. *The Objective lens focuses the scanning beam onto the chosen part of the specimen. *Interactions occur inside the specimen when the beam hits it which are detected with various instruments, they count the number of interactions and display their findings on a pixel (the more reactions the brighter the pixel). *The process is repeated until the grid scan is finished and the whole process pattern can be repeated 30 times a second.
