Eukaryotic Cells, all organelles explained with functions.
Eukaryotic Cell vs. Prokaryotic Essay A eukaryotic plant cell consists of many organelles, a cell wall, and a nucleus. Unlike an animal cell, plant cells have cell walls that allow them to bind to other plant cells, hold their structure, and prevent excessive water intake. Young plant cells have a primary cell wall, which is thin and fairly flexible. Between the primary cell walls is the middle lamella, which sticks the cell walls together. As
a prokaryotic cell is concentrated in a specific area called the nucleoid, but it is not separated from the rest of the cell as in a eukaryotic cell. Some of the same reactions occur in a prokaryotic cell, but not in the same organized fashion. Both types of cells do have a cell membrane and DNA present however. Most prokaryotic cells are bacteria or other simple organisms, and are much smaller than a eukaryotic cell.
