1.0 INTRODUCTION Flame photometry, also referred to as 'flame atomic emission spectrometry' is a quick, economical and simple way of detecting traces of metal ions, primarily Sodium, Potassium, Lithium, Calcium, and Barium, in a concentrated solution.
