Gender Socialization in the Media (television)

For the past two years I have been watching the show "Lost". This show is a series that is on every Wednesday at 9:00pm on ABC. It is not a reality show, it has a large cast of about 25 people and it's an ongoing saga that continues from week to week. …television, the women's role is much easier to cross over to be masculine but you rarely see a man act in a feminine way. If he did he would be considered weak or wimpy. Overall the show is different than others that are on television now. It shows the new age of society and how it has changed throughout the years. The gender socialization is less pronounced now in television than it was years ago.
