How each mentor in To Sir, With Love and Dead Poet's Society reached his students.

In the movie Dead Poets Society, Keating is teaching the basic idea of expression. Keating is a unique instructor who uses many different methods of teaching to get the students involved, but he also shows them ways to have fun with the class. That in itself is unique. Keating is trying to release the emotions these students have within themselves. He is teaching them to make their lives extraordinary, think for themselves, and be individuals …

…though the two mentors of the two different movies were in totally different economical situations, their goal was basically the same, make their students realize the reality of life and let them explore what exactly they want to be in life, and be unique. Keating and Thackeray were very successful in making sure that their students were shown the path to achieve their goals, to achieve it or not was up to the students themselves.
