Iva Toguri: Guilty of Treason and Ignorant to Consequences

After World War II, all Americans were in fear of treasonous and Communist acts. It was during this period that Iva Toguri, the self proclaimed Tokyo Rose was put to trial for something that no one is for treason, which is arguably the worst act anyone can do as an American citizen. …Showing that Iva Toguri willingly worked for the Japanese Government, did not leave Japan when the opportunity arose, and trying to capitalize on the fame of committing treason by selling the story to a large magazine prove this point well. She is clearly guilty, admitting to it should be proof enough. It is because of these undeniable facts that show Iva Toguri was guilty of treason, and ignorance played a strong role in this case.
