Modernism vs Post-modernism

In the world we live in today, it's hard to imagine life without the presence of the mass media. The mass media in the past fifty years has gone from a national scale, to a global machine, echoing news from around the world at all times. No sooner than you hear about a hostage situation in Russia do you learn of a mushroom cloud being sited in North Korea. Yet while one hundred years ago …

…the damage. While the pursuit for globalization of ideas and products is still a primary drive, preserving what we have has also become a priority. We have come to censor ourselves, to a certain extent, to be more cautious of the effects of our individualism on others. And while the negative aspects of post modernistic mass media are causing many problems around the world, the positive aspects are looking to correct the problems it's caused.
