"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"- The book vs. the movie.

Many films and film makers are criticized when attempting to create a film from a novel because they lack the ability to capture the audience and give a real meaning to the story. Ken Kesey's novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and the movie, directed by Milos Forman, both provide excellent, yet different portrayals of the general plot and themes of the story. …provides its audience with a greater understanding of the characters' feelings and emotions, and more interesting portrayals of the events which occurred. The film was still an excellent adaptation of the story and in total won five well-deserved Academy Awards. In conclusion, the book allows the reader to get more involved and connected with the characters in the story and it is a better way to experience Ken Kesey's, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
