Paths of Glory -What is it that drives some leaders to corruption and others to heroism? I think that many leaders are driven by what they feel with benefit them as a person. If the leader will not benefit from it, then they will be resistant to ideas being given to them. If it does benefit them in some way, then they may be resistant at first, but then they will look out for themselves …

…being too scared. The leader doesn't really care about his people and what they feel. They should do things his way or they will be killed. This is much like Saddam and his power trips over Iraq and the people who live under him. This caused people to undermine what was right or ethical and just do as they were told because they were told that they had to, no matter what the consequences were.
