Taiwan has been separated from China since 1895, and the majority of the people who reside on Taiwan do not wish to reunite or be reunited unless it is on their terms with democratic China. The difference of culture or economy between Taiwan and China has grown more as the time goes by. People in Taiwan and China will have to face the revolution that will occur inside and outside of the country in later years, for which it might be another World War, and the U.S. might as well get involved.
