Review of Thomas Paine's "Common Sense"

"Common Sense" challenged the authority of the British government and the royal monarchy. The plain language that Thomas Paine used spoke to the common people of America. …as fiercely on other forefronts. I believe that the reason why this document was called Common Sense is because the language used is exactly that, common sense. Thomas Paine made sure that he delivered his argument in a way that would appeal to many different kinds of Americans. That is the beauty of truth, no matter which angle or stand point you observe it from, it retains the same virtue of being true and meaningful.
