Rudyard Kipling's life
Rudyard Kipling History Rudyard Kipling was born on December 30, 1865 in Bombay, India. His early years in India, until he reached the age of six, seemed to have been idyllic. However, this would all change when him and his family went back to England in 1871. There they stayed for six months until his parents went back to India. During that time, Rudyard was still very young, so his parents put him in a foster home where
people enjoyed reading his work. However, this style of writing didn't last forever. After his son died in World War 1, he did not write about patriotism, but instead wrote about bitterness and guilt. He spent most of his life from that point on meticulously listing the soldiers lost in battle. He then worked for the War Graves Commission. His last few years of life were not spent in glory, but his work was still admired.
