Same-sex couples should not be excluded from the legal right to marry because they signify the same love and commitment in a marriage as a heterosexual couple. The points I have made in my essay show those same-sex couples should not be excluded from the right to marry and should have the same benefits out of marriage that heterosexuals receive. If same-sex couples love each other and want to spend their lives together, what harm is that really doing to people?
