Short essay concerning the flag of Ireland. OBS: English as a foreign language

The first thing that pop up in peoples mind, when Ireland is mentioned, is the Troubles. I have chosen to have a closer look on the country's flag, what it symbolise, its story and its relations to the Troubles: Article 7 of the Constitution of Ireland states says that "The National Flag is the Tricolour of Green, White and Orange." Nowadays the flag is the national emblem of Ireland. Meagher's and Conolly's peaceful dreams have yet to be realised. Although the flag still remains as a symbol of the diverse people of Ireland and the majorities` will for peace. Hopefully one day the flags ideal will be fulfilled.
