…did it. <Tab/>Galileo's drawings of the moon are remarkably similar to modern photographs of the moon. He shows the craters and mountains and other imperfections in the terminator. Although his drawings were a little bit more sketchy and simplified, he had the right idea, and they were definitely good enough that if shown to anyone today, they would certainly be able to tell you that they are of the moon.
