During phase IIIc, which lasted from 1550 B.C. to 1100 B.C., stones were moved at Stonehenge for the last time. The oval of bluestones within the horseshoe of sarsens was rearranged into a horseshoe of bluestones within the horseshoe of sarsens (Chippindale 271). The only thing that Stonehenge had left to do was waste away into what it is today.
