In America, more teens are choosing to have sex at young age, which is causing the children to have children. Teenage pregnancy is usually a crisis for the pregnant girl and her family. Common reactions include anger, guilt, and denial. If the father is young and present, similar problems can occur in his family. Between 2000 and 2001, birthrates for teens declined among all race and ethnic groups, including non-Hispanic white teenagers; Asian or Pacific Islander teens; American Indian teens; and Hispanic teens. (U.S. Teen, 1) Studies show that teen pregnancy has been declining in the last decade. However, more work must be done to prevent any unwanted pregnancy, because it's destroying the future of our young adults.
