The Turks were less than 20% of the Entire population of the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century, this made it hard for them to rule it because they were viewed by the people as immigrants or invaders. …of the current world have turned their back on these events. The Armenian leaders sent letters to the countries of Europe to help stop the massacre of their people. These letters were sent in vein. Although many countries have officially recognized this as a genocide, including Canada, France, Italy, Argentina, Netherlands, Brasilia, and 26 U.S. states, the Turkish government is still in denial and has not apologized to the Armenian people for their horrid actions.
