As the auroral displays increase in intensity, our increasingly technologically dependent society pays a heavy price. We are continually learning about the links between the auroare and solar activity. The aurorae is no longer a mystery of supernatural existence, but many mysterious aspects of the aurorae remain. As science and technology improves hopefully we will better understand the auroraes.
