This essay is a report on what really happened when the Allies invaded Nomandy, France on the 6th of June 1944. A great thanks and pride should be given to all the soldiers, some even alive today, for their bravery, and courage, in helping to stop one of the largest wars in modern history. Today we remember this battle alongside thousands of monuments and memorials around the world, in honour of this great invasion by the combined forces of the Allies against Nazi Germany.
