Bismarck is reported as having said towards the end of his life "If ever there is another war in Europe it will come out of some damned silly thing in the Balkans". While it is humanities greatest wish for war never to be fought, there are times when such a wish is impossible. Arguably, World War 1 was one of those times. Great Britain, France, Russia, Belgium, Italy, the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Serbia, South Africa, India, Rhodesia, Portugal, Romania, Montenegro, Greece and Poland all faced off against the likes of Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and Turkey. I, along with the rest of the world, hopes that we are never forced to see another World War, under any circumstances. The kind of bloodshed witnessed in this events is mindboggling and dreadfully frightening.
