…it is no problem to them. If you took away the freedom of choice in our society the people would go crazy. There would be riots and protests. This is all because we have experienced freedom. Once Jonas received memories from "The Giver" he wanted to help the society. He sees that it is a better way of life and wants to give his society the knowledge of the importance of personalities, opinions, and individuality.
