…distressing. Brooke probably knew that he could become like this, so the poem he wrote most likely showed his feelings. Fortunately, he did not end up like this but died because of a disease. This can also be linked to "The Soldier" in lines 9 and 10 since both are about death. This poem and these pictures show us that whatever we do, we should always try our best, and all that war leads to is death.
