Although their actions were indisputably radical, and condemned by even the most passionate mainstream Zionists, the Stern gang played an important part in the fight for Israeli independence. Their undeniable passion helped set the tone of the David v. Goliath style of Jewish fighting the eventually resulted in the establishment of the State of Israel. The Stern Gang's unique place in Jewish Zionist history, although somewhat tarnished, will be forever regarded as significant.
