The successes and failures of the League of Nations

In the 1920s, the League of Nations achieved some significant successes involving the international community. One of the main achievements was making agreements that were designed to solve international conflict and sustain global peace. The League managed to solve disputes over the Upper Silesia, Aaland Islands, Bulgaria, and other small nations. …actions it was willing to undertake. The impact of Italy on the failure of the League was tremendous- it proved that the League was ineffective, divided and unwilling to take serious action. Collective security was an empty promise, and Italy proved that the League was incompetent and a failure.
