The Germans oppose the treaty of Versailles because the agreement was unfair to them. The terms of the treaty were harsh and the Germans suffered deep humiliation. Since the Germans had not been involved in negotiating the treaty, a feeling developed in Germany that they were under no moral obligation to obey its terms. The captains sank all their ships rather than hand them over to the British. Germany was also forbidden to have an air force or to build tanks. Because of these reasons, the Germans feel that the treaty is not fair to them in many ways. Therefore they opposed to the treaty of Versailles strongly.
