This is a self-disigned experiment on photosynthesis. Pretty self explanitory, right.
CREATE YOUR OWN EXPERIMENT hypothesis: If light causes photosyntheses in autotrophs, then the more light a plant gets, the more it will grow. Materials: Six 4-inch pots Two closed, clear, plastic containers Seeds (grass, or pea plant works well) soil Two heat lamps water Procedure: Set six 4-inch pots out. Fill each pot 3/4 full. Put wine seed into the pot, about 1 1/2 to 2 inches below the surface. Set pots one through three into a closed, clear,
the lamp that is heating pots four through six, off. Then at 7:00 p.m., turn the lamp off that is heating pots one through three. Do so everyday for five weeks. At the beginning of each week, measure how high the plants are. Controls: The size of the pot Amount of water fed Keep all at same temperature Use same soil Conclusion: my hypothesis was correct. The plant with more sunlight grew, on average 66.6% taller.
