…France's case the government was abusing to its own people in its own land. In both revolutions, the people were denied their rights to own property. In addition to this mistreatment, they were oppressed by excessive taxation. If there wasn't a Patrick Henry who stood up and shouted "Give Me Liberty, or Give Me Death!" or Third Estate that came together to over throw their government, we would not have the basic rights we have.
