…obesity is harder to control, as studies suggest hormone levels are to blame. Nonetheless, when the amount of energy consumed is more than the energy expended, a human will gain weight. It is finding the proper balance and maintaining this balance that is troubling roughly 26% of the US population and 7% worldwide. Obesity should be looked at and considered an eating disorder; where research suggests that it is a combination of both sociological and biological factors.
