…labour lost 40 of its members, the Liberals lost 118 of its members. The Conservatives came out on top gaining an extra 151 members. Although the Labour Party lost 40 of its members they were still able to form a government. Overall it was not just one reason but a number of reasons why the Labour party rose so rapidly from having only 29 M.P.S top form a government in 1924 and these all contributed to its eventual rise.
